The Spring Semester has ended

The Spring Semester is over and everyone is off in there own direction. I've had a great year, but now it is time to rest, relax, travel (India) and begin again.

Graduation

. . . and then there was graduation. I know this sounds crazy, but my 8th graders were the best in the world and I don't think I will ever have a year like this one. This was my first semester teaching and it was special. My boys were sweet, engaged, hardworking--I enjoyed every minute, and saw so much growth and maturity. These fellas will make America a better place just by doing what they do best-being themselves.

Dinner at Elmo's

Ms. Collins won the Elmo's award for fabulous teaching. She said, "Let's spend that money taking the 8th graders out to dinner at --Elmo's."
I said, "OK!"

All Together

We needed a group photo or two

Charlie

This was Charlie's last days with us before he went home to Korea.

And sometimes we just acted silly

Dah Pet Wah, Mu Eh Kee, Ne Doh Wah, Sanda, Dawt, Marwan, Marvin and Ishmael took pictures, recycled, and just relaxed.

Playing mind games

We got to unwind and play Mancala, Chess, and Dominoes.

The last two weeks of school

After testing we need to exercise

We worked hard testing and students needed to let off some steam
